A dismissed UL football player has been arrested following an investigation into a reported rape in a residence hall on campus.
On Monday, March 27 at approximately 9:21 p.m., UL Police received information of a rape that occurred on a previous date in a residence hall on campus. After an investigation of the incident was conducted, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of Artez Terrell Williams, 21, who was known by the victim.
Williams was arrested on April 5 without incident, charged with second-degree rape and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
