Chaz Ah You, a talented BYU junior linebacker was arrested on Sunday under suspicion of driving under the influence.
Ah You was arrested on Sunday, February 9th in Eagle Mountain along Red Hawk Road and Pony Express Parkway, according to documents filed in Utah County Court. Documents show that Ah You was going 75 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone and was following close to other vehicles while driving.
Records from the police also indicate that during the inventory search of the vehicle two containers of alcohol were found. One container contained a consumable amount and the other one was empty. Due to weather, a field sobriety test was performed at Utah County Jail.
According to court documents, a THC vape pen was also found in Ah You’s vehicle.
Ah You was charged on suspicion of a DUI, reckless driving, unsafe lane travel, speeding, and an open container.
A junior outside linebacker, Ah You is viewed as one of BYU’s top players in a young linebacker unit that made significant strides a season ago.
