Michigan CB Nate Johnson arrested following assault of female student (The Fulmer Cup Offseason)

Nate Johnson The Fulmer CupNate Johnson was arrested early on Saturday morning and charged with one count of domestic assault for what MLive called “an attack on a female student.” The alleged attack is believed to have occurred in the victim’s dorm room.

Michigan football announced Saturday that Johnson had been “suspended indefinitely from all team activities” in a team release. The sophomore switched from wide receiver to cornerback after his freshman season, and has not recorded any stats yet in 2017. Johnson had 1 reception for 4 yards as a freshman in 2016.

USC The Fulmer CupA USC football player is allegedly being investigated for assault after knocking a fan to the turf following Washington State’s 30-27 upset win over the No. 5 Trojans, Pullman Radio News reported Monday afternoon.

A video posted by Cougfan.com captured the scene of thousands of fans pouring onto the field just moments after Luke Falk took a knee in the victory formation to seal the win. In the video, an unidentifiable Southern California player appears to shove a WSU fan to the turf as the Trojans are exiting Martin Stadium.

Mount Union student & former football player accused of rape (The Fulmer Cup Offseason)

Jordan Hargrove The Fulmer CupA former football player at Mount Union who is still at the school as a student has been charged with three counts of rape.

Jordan Hargrove, a 22-year-old former wide receiver for the Purple Raiders, was arrested Friday afternoon and arraigned in Alliance Municipal Court, according to court records.

A schools spokesperson said Hargrove was a member of the football team from 2013-16. He was injured before completing his senior season.

Associate Dean of Students and Title IX Coordinator Michelle Gaffney released this statement on behalf of the university:

When notified of an allegation of sexual misconduct, the University of Mount Union enacts its Sexual Misconduct Protocol, a standard and extremely detailed process that is followed when an individual reports that he or she has been a victim of a sexual assault. This includes assisting the student in seeking medical attention, filing a police report and receiving support from a counselor. We also suggest that the student consider discussing the issue with family members or others who can provide support. The institution is very committed to the safety of its students and has developed this protocol in order to provide for the rights of all parties involved in a situation such as this while working cooperatively with local police officials.

Hargrove did not enter a plea and is currently being held in the Stark County Jail on $750,000 bond ($250,000 for each alleged incident). A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 6 at 10:45 a.m.

Memphis Tiger Football Player Shaun Rupert Dismissed From Team (The Fulmer Cup Offseason)

Shaun Rupert The Fulmer CupShaun Rupert, a Memphis Tiger starting football player is now off the team after being arrested on robbery, burglary, and weapons charges.

The defensive back was arrested Thursday. According to the affidavit, police say May 25th, the victim was walking to his apartment in the 500 block of Brister Street, and as he got to his door, the former Tiger and another man pushed their way in. The victim said the two were armed with black handguns, and demanded money. The victim says they then stole two watches, and Xbox, and an Apple Macbook.
