Georgia running back Elijah Holyfield was arrested early Monday morning on charges of possession of marijuana (less than an ouce) and possession of marijuana-related objects according to the Athens Clarke-County jail logs. Both charges are classified as misdemeanors.
The sophomore from Atlanta was booked into the jail around 3:19 a.m. and was released on bond a short time later at 4:08 a.m.

UL football coach Mark Hudspeth and athletic director Bryan Maggard both apologized Wednesday for 13 football players at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette who were charged with criminal conspiracy to commit felony theft, as new details emerged in the case:
- Among the items allegedly stolen from another student’s Huger Hall dorm room, according to a property list report obtained from the ULPD, were: One Xbox game system, the Xbox games “Grand Theft Auto V” and “Metal Gear,” an LG-brand TV, a gold chain, an Aeropostale-brand watch, three pairs of Jordan shoes, two pairs of Adidas shoes, a Nike backpack, four pairs of boxers, eight-and-a-half pairs of socks, three coats, three dollar bills, a Ragin’ Cajuns hat, one ski cap, one pair of jeans, one belt, a training speed ladder, a toenail clipper and one bottle of hair lotion.

Former MTSU football player charged after beating puppy
A Middle Tennessee State University football player is charged with animal cruelty after he was seen hitting a puppy in a Snapchat video. According to Murfreesboro Police, 21-year-old Shalom A Alvarez faces animal cruelty charges.

Alabama football player among four sought in relation to spring break beach brawl
Two current and one former West-Orange Stark High School football players are among four men being sought as suspects in the Spring Break beating of an Orange County man.
Warrants for felony aggravated assault have been issued for Morris Joseph, 18, Rufus Joseph, 18, Deionte Thompson, 20 and Daletredricc Wolfford, 21, according to Major Douglas Hudson of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
Morris Joseph and Rufus Joseph played for West-Orange-Stark this past year and Thompson played for the school through 2014.
Thompson is currently a red shirt freshman on the University of Alabama football team according to the team’s online roster.
MTSU students arrested for evading police, possession of drugs
Two MTSU students were arrested Thursday at approximately 7:30 p.m. for evading and resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule VI narcotic at Raiders Ridge Apartments in Murfreesboro.
An officer was conducting a courtesy room check at the apartment complex and spotted the two students, Jaidarius Temple and Justin Akins, both age 21, sitting in a red Toyota Camry. Akins was sitting in the passenger seat when he placed a large clear bag filled with a green substance into his pants. When the officer went to speak with the two students, Temple sped away in an attempt to exit the complex but was blocked by two other officers in the parking lot.

Suspended Oklahoma CB Parrish Cobb Arrested for Armed Robbery
Oklahoma Sooners cornerback Parrish Cobb has been arrested for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday night in Norman, Oklahoma.
According to an incident report released by the Norman Police Department, “The victim stated that two black males entered his apartment and pointed semi-automatic handguns at him and his roommate.”Cobb was later identified as one of two suspects who “stole cash and drugs from the residence before leaving on foot.”

11 Alcorn State University football players arrested in connection with fight
CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) — Eleven Alcorn State University football players were taken into custody in connection with a fight that broke out in the school cafeteria last week.
Claiborne County Sheriff Frank Davis said more than 21 affidavits had been filed in connection with the incident. Out of those affidavits, 11 students had been arrested.
The charges range from simple assault to malicious mischief.
Sheriff Davis said school officials have been cooperating with the investigation. He said the football coach told the students to meet him and that’s when the 11 players were taken into custody.

CSU football player arrested by campus police
FORT COLLINS COLORADOAN – CSU football player Hunter Donnelly has been suspended from the program following his arrest Wednesday by campus police for allegedly violating a restraining order. A domestic violence enhancement was added to the charge, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office booking report.

MSU football player Auston Robertson charged with criminal sexual conduct
Michigan State defensive lineman Auston Robertson faces a third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge stemming from an April 9 incident in Meridian Township.
The charge was issued on Friday in 55th district court, according to a statement from the Ingham County Prosecutor’s office. Third degree criminal sexual conduct is a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
